When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by July 25th so we can finalize our guest list and accommodation commitments. We appreciate your prompt response!

Where should I stay?

Because Nemacolin is a private, gated resort in a secluded wooded area, we strongly encourage all guests to stay on property in the arranged accommodations to allow for the most seamless guest experience throughout the weekend. Please reference our travel page for additional details on lodging options, a booking link and phone # to take advantage of the group rate. 

Can we bring our kid(s)?

The wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration. That said, if circumstances call for an exception, please reach out to us. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy a fun weekend away from the kids! 

What is the weather like in September?

In September, Farmington, PA typically experiences pleasant weather. Average high temperatures are around 77°F, while average lows are about 56°F. These conditions make September a comfortable time to visit Farmington, offering warm days and cooler evenings.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The wedding ceremony will take place outdoors in the late afternoon, followed by a unique combination of indoor and outdoor venue spaces for the reception.

Our reception venues are all in walking proximity to the Lodge and Chateau should the weather cool down and you feel the need to run to your room to grab an extra layer. 

What is the easiest way to get to and from your venue?

The closest major airport is Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), located approximately 1.5 hours north of the resort. We recommend renting a car, carpooling with others, or arranging a transfer through the resort.

Please do not rely on rideshare services (e.g., Uber or Lyft) to return to the airport after the wedding unless you pre-book, as it is difficult to get one in our remote location for departure.

Where do I park?

Upon arrival to the Nemacolin gate, you will be directed to either the Grand Lodge or Chateau. Once at your hotel, a valet will take and park your car. The resort operates through a shuttles-on-demand system to both minimize traffic and the need for vehicles so guests can relax and enjoy themselves. After arrival, you shouldn't need your car until you depart, but can easily have it pulled up should you need to.

What do I wear? What is the wedding attire?

Please reference our schedule for recommended attire for each weekend event. 

Our wedding is "Black Tie Creative" and invite all guests to have fun and be expressive with their attire. Please refer to our info page for further explanation and examples.

Anything special I should pack?

In addition to your dancing shoes, be sure to bring a bathing suit, as Nemacolin has multiple pools and a spa, and our welcome pool party will include swimming, or floating, for those interested! Additionally, we encourage guests to check out all the wonderful activities that Nemacolin has to offer—such as horseback riding, golf, and more—so pack accordingly if you plan to adventure in your downtime.
